In a recent news article we are told the Catholic church has announced they will start accepting Anglicans and create a special section of Catholicism with different rules just for those that converted. The article says:
"They could join the Roman Catholic Church as full members, but hang on to many of their Anglican traditions and practices - and indeed preserve much of their 'Anglican identity'."
So it's like... Diet Catholic? A lighter version for those who can't be 'real' Catholics but still want the taste of it? What's next? Catholicism 0? All the taste of eternity in heaven without the lifetime commitment?
And another interesting thing...
"This development - utterly rejected by the Vatican for the Catholic Church - has been agreed by the Church of England Synod, and the only question is how far traditionalist parishes and clergy will be 'sheltered' from having to serve under a woman bishop."
Might I remind everyone that the most well know female Catholic of our time is MOTHER TERESA who is known the world over for her kindness and do-gooding. I couldn't name a famous male Catholic without some serious thought to the matter. What's the problem here? Is helping the poor and sick not on top of the Catholic church's to-do list? Much better to spend time squabbling over letting women be priests or how to convert Anglicans without them being real Catholics.
